If there is one thing that really makes the MG ZS different from its Rover 45 brother, it’s the range of colours offered by MG Rover. Vivid and eye catching, it underlined exactly what the new MG range was all about. These cars were different, individual, and special even.
If one colour is the perfect example of this, it’s Trophy Yellow. Loud, in-your-face, and impossible to ignore, Andy’s (or Shroonie as he’s known on the forum) saloon is one ZS that you won’t forget in a hurry.

Backed up by the excellent 2.5 KV6 power-plant, Andy’s car represents the best of the best in the ZS range, and Andy, quite rightly is proud of his car.

“I was looking for a new motor, thinking about Impreza’s, that sort of thing, but as soon as I saw the ZS, I knew it was what I wanted. The V6, the fact its British built, and the BTCC success all made it appeal to me.”

It was this exposure on the BTCC circuit that led Willem H to a dealer in Rotterdam and his ZS saloon.

Willem paid a shade over £9000 for his pride and joy, a little over two years ago and has continued to subtley modify and improve Longbridge’s finest.

Well, here it is, ZSCentral.com's first car of the month, and what a great example it is. Andy’s firefrost car demonstrates just how good the 2004 model year facelift looks, improving on the attractive mark one ZS in just about every area.

Andy picked up his car in 2005, just a year old and with less than eight thousand miles on the clock, for a fiver under £10k and he hasn’t looked back. Subarus and Mitsubishis were originally on his shopping list but Andy fancied something that was a bit different and would break the bank. After seeing an ad for the mark two, Andy saw one in the metal and his mind was made up.
